The Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) is comprised of 21 middle and high school students from the District of Columbia. The mission of the YAC is to develop a cadre of young leaders with critical thinking skills who will share knowledge and expertise around adolescent health issues. The YAC meets every week to develop youth led projects and insure activities implemented are meeting the needs of young people in the District of Columbia.

OSSE Youth Advisory Committee Recruiting for SY 2014-15!
The OSSE’s Youth Advisory Committee is a group of public and public charter high school students that are trained around a wide variety of sexual health and youth development topics. This group of young leaders are then tasked with implementing peer, school and community programs to increase awareness around them. Topics addressed include STD education, pregnancy awareness, how to be an LGBT ally and mental health, among many others.
